Transient cavitating flow structure and acoustic analysis of a hydrofoil with whalelike wavy leading edge

Doi:https://doi.org/10.1016/j.apm.2020.04.004

1.Cavitation dynamic behaviors of the hydrofoil with whalelike leading-edge protuberances are simulated.

2. The k-ω SST model with local compressibility correction for turbulent viscosity is implemented in OpenFOAM.

3. Interactions between cavitation and streamwise vortex pairs are discussed.

4. Influence factors of monopole and dipole noise in cavitating flow are obtained from Lighthill's acoustic analogy theory.

5. Time domain characteristics of monopole and dipole noise in cavitating flow are discussed.
